The Ohio Ethics Law: A Deeper Study – VIRTUAL CLE

August 4 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

The Ohio Ethics Commission routinely presents free one-hour webinars to assist public employees and officials in understanding and complying with the Ohio Ethics Law. These live, interactive sessions are designed to be effective, convenient, and even enjoyable!

For those who have participated in our trainings for numerous years, this fresh approach to the Ethics Law might be for you! This one-hour webinar will cover all primary areas of the Ethics Law but will focus on specific application of the law. Each area of the law will be studied in correlation with germane legal advisory opinions previously issued by the Ethics Commission. Anyone is welcome to this webinar, but those who already have a solid understanding of the statute will likely find this one especially stimulating and thought-provoking.

For state officials and employees (including financial disclosure filers), this webinar fulfills your Ohio Ethics Law training requirement under Executive Order 2019-11D. This course is approved for 1.0 hour of general Continuing Legal Education credit for attorneys and 1.0 contact hour of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) for CPAs through the Ohio Accountancy Board (once per calendar year).

The Ohio Ethics Commission is committed to providing access and inclusion and reasonable accommodation in its services, activities, programs, and employment opportunities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable laws. To request a reasonable accommodation due to a disability please contact Alan Carlson, Ohio Ethics Commission HR/Fiscal Manager at TTY/TDD (800) 750-0750 or [email protected] no later than 14 days before the training.
