This CLE presentation is for legal professionals who want to learn about or refresh their knowledge of litigation hold requirements.
Establishing an effective litigation hold procedure is a crucial part of any organization’s discovery policy. However, as the information technology landscape becomes more complicated, and both physical and virtual data warehouses have grown, the failure to create and implement this procedure can cause catastrophic repercussions to a litigating party. The risk of missing locations or custodians of relevant data, or ineffectively communicating and monitoring the process should be mitigated to help successfully defend challenges to an organization’s data preservation methods.
This course focuses on how to avoid mistakes in the creation and implementation of legal hold procedures. It intends to provide a high-level view of some best practices to help your organization keep up with discovery requirements.
* Please be aware that this course is eligible for 60 minutes of CLE (Continuing Legal Education) instruction.
