SUMMARY:Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace: Legal Implications of Using AI in Employment Decisions
DESCRIPTION:  \nIn this CLE\, the presenter will present emerging issues and trends of any employer’s use of artificial intelligence for employment decision making. Discussion will include the new Equal Employment Opportunities Commission’s new Strategic Enforcement Plan and other attempts from state and local governments to combat the growing trend of bias and discrimination that is weaving its way into employers hiring\, promotion\, and firing decisions. Finally\, this CLE will discuss the implications and ethical responsibilities of lawyers have surrounding this topic as well as how lawyers should advise their employer clients. \nLEARNING OBJECTIVES \n• Analyze the nature of AI\, how\nit is being used in employment\ndecision-making and emerging\nissues. \n• Recognize the impact of EEOC\nand USDOJ concerns and\nguidelines involving the use of\nAI in employment decisions. \n• Federal\, State\, and Local\nRegulations in effect. \n• Discuss the future of AI in\nemployment and a look\nforward. \nThis is an hour long Ethics CLE entitled Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace: Legal Implications of Using AI in Employment Decisions.
